Infrastructure as code

27 services

This category gathers tools for defining and running infrastructure. Pulumi describes cloud resources in general-purpose languages. Terraform and OpenTofu orchestration services differ mainly in run quotas and seats: Scalr includes 50 runs a month, Spacelift 200 worker minutes on public worker pools, Terramate 2 users with every feature, and Terrateam 3 users with pull-request driven runs. Brainboard and Cloudcraft approach the same work through diagrams; Cloudcraft gives one user unlimited private diagrams.

Server control panels such as ploi.io, runcloud.io, serveravatar.com and xcloud.host each manage one server for free, which covers a single VPS running PHP sites. Cost tools are also here: Cloud Cost Analyzer scans up to 5,000 resources in one AWS account, Parsivex runs one scan a month, and economize.cloud covers up to $5,000 of monthly Google Cloud spend. For device fleets, Esper manages 100 Android devices, Jamf 3 Apple devices and Miradore unlimited devices with a basic feature set.

Some Azure entries, such as the Load Balancer with 750 hours and 15 GB of processed data, and the 15 GB outbound bandwidth allowance, are 12-month offers rather than permanent tiers, so plan for billing when they end. Codeac.io checks Terraform, Ansible and Kubernetes files in code review but is free only for open-source repositories.
